Dear Wolfpack alumni,
It is almost time again for Homecoming! The last few years of
Homecoming have been great with an increased turn out of our Wolfpack
alumni. The years prior, you have brought your enthusiasm, classmates
and family. This year, we are asking for more than participation.
Our mission says, "Strive to
foster opportunities for African American alumni, students, faculty,
staff, and university friends to become actively involved in enriching
NC State now and in the future."
As an organization that stands strongly behind education, we have
decided to provide more scholarships and support the African-American
Wolfpack community.
Last year, we provided three scholarships to our students. As a member
of BAS, I know we can do even more to help our students achieve success
at NC State. We are requesting your tax-deductible
donations. There is no set amount. All gifts are appreciated. Your
gifts will be utilized to fund
much needed scholarships for
current undergraduate and graduate African-American students at our
alma mater. You may also choose to help us support the Wolfpack
community with donations to our general fund.
In 2011, we are introducing the BAS
President's Circle.
The President's Circle
donation is only
$100 but invaluable to the students your aid will assist and if you
chose, will assist us with programming throughout the year. Your President's
Circle gift will also be
applied to your Chancellor circle donation. Your consideration and
generous contributions to these endeavors are greatly appreciated and
can be made online or via mail.
