Legacy Award Recipients

The Legacy Award honors individuals whose exemplary service in their professional industry, academia and/or community has made an outstanding contribution. These accomplishments contribute to the continued sustainability and success of the NC State Black Alumni Society.

In addition, the founders have named David Thompson as the 2009 Elwood and Diane Becton Distinguished Alumni Award Recipient. All honorees will be recognized for their conspicuous achievements during the 30th Anniversary Distinguished Alumni - Legacy Banquet to be held at the Dorothy and Roy Park Alumni Center on Thursday, November 5, 2009, at 6:30 p.m. The banquet will serve to commemorate the organization's 30 years of the excellence in service to the NC State alumni community and pay tribute to our Distinguished and Legacy honorees.
