Get Involved

The Black Alumni Society fosters opportunities for African American alumni, students, faculty, staff and university friends to become actively involved in enriching NC State now and in the future. There are numerous opportunities for involvement, such as donating funds for scholarships and other endowments, becoming a member of our various committees, writing for the newsletter, etc. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, contact Keon Pettiway at bas_president@yahoo.com.

We have a few of immediate opportunities:

  1. Become a member of the 2008 Black Alumni Conference Planning Committee

    • campus resources and support personnel
    • strategies for coping
    • African American cultural heritage and contributions to help ensure their academic, social and emotional success at NC State.

You will host a job shadowing experience to encourage students to pursue STEM careers by sharing:
    • Brief overview of the work you do
