The Black Alumni Reunion and Conference is a celebration of our shared connections with each other and NC State, and provides an avenue for participants to be active agents in the progression of our NC State community. On April 8, 2005, BAS hosted the first Black Alumni Conference at NC State under the leadership of Marcus Belvin, BAS past president. The inaugural conference attracted alumni from various parts of the country and featured alum Kevin Howell as the keynote speaker. Since it's inception, the conference has provided an opportunity for alumni to particpate in the affairs of N.C. State and to connect with friends, alumni, faculty, staff, and students.
